As the Days of Noah

Matthew 24: 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Found throughout the Bible are references to situations where men faced total destruction.  However, God deemed it necessary that certain individuals physically survive these situations. So, God would intervene on behalf of these individuals and provide a means for them.  Each of these situations contained

The Four Elements of Bible Prophecy / Who, What, Where & When

  • What - God prophesizes the coming destruction
  • Who- God determines that certain individuals will physically survive the predicted destruction
  • Where & When - God provides those certain individuals with survivals instructions

The story of Noah and the Flood is the classic example and contains the Elements of Bible Prophecy

  1. What - God forewarned Noah of the impending flood (Genesis 6:13)
  2. Who- God determined that Noah and his family will survive the flood (Genesis 6:18)
  3. Where - God provided Noah with instructions on building the ark (Genesis 6:14-16, 21)
  4. When - God instructed Noah to enter the ark (Genesis 7:1)

Matthew 24: 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

When Christ uttered these words, He was telling end time believers that the story of Noah and the ark was a Prophetic Parable and that end time events will have similar outcome to those of Noah.  If this is the case, then unfulfilled prophetic scriptures should also contain 'the four elements of prophecy'.  Let's examine:

The Woman and the Man-Child

Rich with symbolism, Revelation 12 is an apocalyptic analogy which contains 'the who, what, where & when elements of Bible Prophecy'

What – God prophesies the coming destruction

  • Revelation 12: 15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood

Who – God determines that certain individuals will physically survive the predicted destruction

  • Revelation 12: 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth

Where – God provides those certain individuals with survivals instructions

  • Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness where she hath a place prepared of God...

When

  • Revelation 12:6 ...that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days

So, it appears in Revelation 12 that God is sending end time believers a message that (1) there is an apocalyptic event in our future, (2) that He has determined that a pocket of these believers are going to physically survive this event and (3) that He has provided divine survival instructions.  This being the case, then the rest of unfulfilled prophetic scriptures should confirm this analogy and provide more details.  For example

Matthew 24

Matthew 24 and her two sister chapters (Luke 21 & Mark 13) provide us details of the events (which lead up to His advent) in a this-then-this presentation. What is significant about these three chapters is that they are not in a parable format.  When Christ spoke to the crowds, He spoke in parables.  However, when He spoke to His disciples, He spoke directly. And though he spoke to them directly, Christ wasn’t speaking to the disciples but rather He was speaking through them conveying 'the who, what, where & when elements of Bible Prophecy' to end time believers that would be alive at His advent.

What - God prophesizes the coming destruction

  • Matthew 24:9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me..... 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Who- God determines that certain individuals will physically survive the predicted destruction

  • Matthew 24:22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

When - Where - God provides those certain individuals with survivals instructions

  • Matthew 24:15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

So, Matthew 24 also contains 'the four elements of Bible prophecy'.  This information is presented as an outline and is provided in broad strokes.  The finer details are provided through the Old Testament prophets and remaining unfulfilled prophetic scriptures.  And in the end, all unfulfilled prophetic scripture provides end time believers with instructions to prepare for:

  1. Martyrdom or
  2. Survival

For example:

Martyrdom

Revelation 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Survival

Matthew 24: 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

All unfulfilled prophetic passages which provide 'survival' information can be categorized into at least one of 'the who, what, where and when elements of Bible prophecy'.  If God has provided detailed 'survival' information for end time believers, then the first category we need to address is:
